berry good day

1. Happy boys this morning at our favorite U-Pluck Strawberry Farm. Today couldn’t have been more perfect for pickin’. There were blue skies, a slight breeze and the warm sun on our backs as we worked.

Caleb asked “Why did God MAKE strawberries, Mom?”
that was an easy one-He made them because He adores us, obviously.

2. Red fingers, red mouths. They said we could eat as much as we liked and we took ’em at their word!

3. The baby chicks of a few months ago have grown into gangly teenagers with voracious appetites. They love the strawberry tops so much it is now quite dangerous for me to walk in there in flip-flops for my red toenails get pecked at incessantly.

4. All put up-a sweet taste of summer to spread on our February biscuits!

About sparrowjourney

Christian homeschooling mom to three boys, married to my best friend, John, for over 20 years. I love gardening without gloves, learning history with my kids, cooking with lots of butter, serving others, great books, rich coffee, studying the Bible, camping outdoors, scrapbooking, vintage home decor, the smell of rain and cut grass, authentic people, poetry, laughing until your sides hurt, and babies. oh and black licorice is pretty awesome.
