Caleb gets in bed with John and I, nearly every morning of his life. The other day we couldn’t help but notice what he called his “new tattoos”. He is so obsessed with the product that yes, he actually branded himself with the LEGO symbol. I hope he has such fierce passion for God, this country, his wife. Perhaps even a bit of devotion left for his frail old mother, in his adulthood.
“Why the band-aid, son?”
“Ummm. The pen wouldn’t erase my mistake.”
“You know you aren’t supposed to draw on your body with pens or markers, remember?”
“I STILL can’t?!”
“okay. I thought that was just when I was four.”

“And why did you write your name on your foot?!” “that’s in case i get ammy-neeshia.”
“oh. well that’s a good idea.”
“yup. just planning ahead…in case i get in an accident today.”

About sparrowjourney

Christian homeschooling mom to three boys, married to my best friend, John, for over 20 years. I love gardening without gloves, learning history with my kids, cooking with lots of butter, serving others, great books, rich coffee, studying the Bible, camping outdoors, scrapbooking, vintage home decor, the smell of rain and cut grass, authentic people, poetry, laughing until your sides hurt, and babies. oh and black licorice is pretty awesome.

I love that boy! I hope he crawls in bed with you for a good many years yet. (I crawled in with my parents, oh, I think up until the time I got married when I was 26!) Blessings! Rebeca
