side effects of good cooking

A few weeks ago Tony, Tara and Savannah were visiting so Claudia made a delicious lunch and invited us over. It was so nice to visit a little and laugh at baby Savannah’s antics.

and look how these boys are quickly catching up to (and passing!?) their Aunty! Hard to remember when they were chubby toddlers, sitting on her knee. After lunch, we watched a “Wiggles” DVD. Well, to be honest: we watched Savannah watch the DVD. She would wiggle and dance and laugh-so cute! The Wiggles were a brand new hit when Caleb was about 2, and he loved them—to his present-day horror. Every now and then a song would come on that I remembered and when I would remind Caleb “Oh! you LOVED this one!” he would roll his eyes with annoyance. The Wiggles have some kind of sorcery going on though, because anyone under 12 can’t help singing along or watching…

and everyone over 12? They fall fast asleep…

Sam is mesmerized but John can’t keep his eyes open:Grampa Lee was in and out:Savannah even started to nod off-the Wiggles can’t compete with naptime!

Christian homeschooling mom to three boys, married to my best friend, John, for over 20 years. I love gardening without gloves, learning history with my kids, cooking with lots of butter, serving others, great books, rich coffee, studying the Bible, camping outdoors, scrapbooking, vintage home decor, the smell of rain and cut grass, authentic people, poetry, laughing until your sides hurt, and babies. oh and black licorice is pretty awesome.
