Multitude Monday 6/29/10

(late, but here we go…! and i have decided not to numerically count my blessings in each post. stopping at 1000 gifts would be foolish, anyway. if the gifts keep coming, so must the noticing and appreciating of said gifts, right?)

seeing toy story 3 with my family.

sunshine has come!

gluten free cornbread.

caring for and loving on 10 sweet kids, for 6 days.

the smell of the neighbors freshly cut hay.

all the colorful books lining our bedroom shelves.

the release and healing power in laughter. how good God is to us all, to create that gift!

all the roses still blooming, despite deers midnight snacking.

the waxy smell of crayons.

new running shoes.

anniversary gift flowers, 2 weeks ago and they are still alive!

Sam in a fedora hat.

how the answer is still “God is good, all the time.”

a pink sunset over the lake as we drive home.

a majestic hawk, faithfully watching the same field, day after day.

the warmth of an unexpected compliment.

Caleb’s wit.

a glossy decorating magazine in the mailbox.

the first sip of hot coffee in the morning.

kids splashing in the hot tub.

strength, sufficient for the day.

hearing an old favorite song and suddenly feeling 17, again.

Johns crooked grin, that always makes me feel 17, again.

getting lost in a good novel and reading past midnight.

freshly mopped floors.

bare feet on green grass.

the way Josiah is so diligent about his schoolwork, even in summer.

shoulder rubs while I’m on the computer.

checkmarks off our summer list.

About sparrowjourney

Christian homeschooling mom to three boys, married to my best friend, John, for over 20 years. I love gardening without gloves, learning history with my kids, cooking with lots of butter, serving others, great books, rich coffee, studying the Bible, camping outdoors, scrapbooking, vintage home decor, the smell of rain and cut grass, authentic people, poetry, laughing until your sides hurt, and babies. oh and black licorice is pretty awesome.
