Multitude Monday 7/19/10

Sam and Grandpa Lee, sharing birthday celebrations for 13 plus years.

pink cosmos flowers, shuddering in a breeze.

rocking babies in the church nursery.

Josiah and I, having meaningful, adult-like conversations, alone together in the car.

the power of Less.

air conditioning.

chopped veggie salads.

telling stories at Vacation Bible School, to wide-eyed children.

the boys delight in a new book.

John, making buttered popcorn for us. He didn’t want it much, but he knew I did.

sunshine through the skylight, flooding the kitchen island with Summer.

thrift store excursions.

all of us, singing The Cheeseburger Song. loudly.

necklaces. skirts. heels. and enjoying being a girl in a house full of boys. (but only occasionally! tees and jeans always prevail)

etsy exploring.

watching the boys splash in a pool.

when Caleb mimics me so perfectly, and sets everyone in the house to laughing.

hot showers.

garlic mashed potatoes.

that neighbor in town, who has a horse tied in their front yard like Pippi Longstocking.

cardboard stories.  the gospel’s power to change us, illustrated.
