a quick apology

Not many posts, i know-been hearing the murmurings and complaints and not-so-gentle proddings from some of you-sorry! It’s the same old story, folks— Been busy, and out of ideas, and when I did get inspired to try and post something, the stupid-annoying-dumb-slower than molasses old photo uploading process here on wordpress took so pickin long that I gave up.I know.  i have the patience of an 8 year old .with severe ADD. on a mountain dew binge.

and I admit to you all, I have even flirted with the idea of just abandoning this blog, altogether…facebook IS so much easier, but there are good reasons to continue:

1. I copy/paste/and print most of our scrapbook journaling directly from here. When I post about our daily life, it doesn’t get “lost”. and I do want to keep that, both for the kids and for myself.

2. John, Mom, Anne, and Sherri would most likely physically hurt me, if I truly gave blogging up. and I am a wimp when it comes to torture. I am no Syndney from Alias, trust me. The 7-11 clerk just looks at me with lowered eyebrows and I start yelling “I’ll talk! I’ll talk!”All John ever has to do is threaten to “pop my toe knuckles”. Isn’t that the most horrific feeling in the world?! Ack, its like like nails down a chalkboard-it doesn’t physically hurt me, I know but oh-oh-oh I will still actually CRY REAL TEARS if you pop my toes

(don’t do it! I shouldn’t confess it publicly, i fear. now i am vulnerable! seriously if anyone even glances down at my feet after this? i will karate chop you.

ok-i don’t KNOW karate but i have seen Bruce Lee on the tv and can do a fine imitation. seriously. don’t test me in this!)

but speaking of that John…my sweet guy just keeps insisting I find time to write, even if it means dirty dishes in the sink, a neglected, dirty house and sandwiches for dinner. Well, sign me up for that deal! My toes may be soft, but my head isn’t!

3. Facebook is great for 1 sentence, 1 minute updates. Love it. When life gets crazy it is so nice to still have that contact, and connection, with friends and family. But who are we kidding-you all know me, right? Since when am I satisfied with a 1 minute conversation? Sometimes I need sentences. Who are we kidding? I need PARAGRAPHS.  Long empty white spaces in which to pontiferate my most recent thoughts, limited as they may be. the kids just slap their hands over their ears and start saying lalalalalalala…

4. I start my new job on Wednesday. I will be at the counter of UsSportsplex (John’s business) from 6-10 AM. Since I have spent 20 years brown-nosing this particular bossman, he has let me  (encouraged me, even! seriously-I have that boy wrapped around my finger, don’t i?) so i will have full Internet access on his old laptop, when it is slow. Which I hear,it totally IS, from about 7:30 to 10 AM. So it looks like I will have some time to twiddle my thumbs while WordPress takes FOREVER uploading photos, and hopefully my blog posts will be more frequent, once again. We’ve gone camping, had 2 birthdays, done a few home improvements and heard/said some funny stuff in the last month…I think I can squeeze at least a COUPLE of blog posts out for you…

Thanks for your support and your patience. I am such an all-or-nothing person, I know! Annoying when its nothing, but hey ain’t it just so pickin fun when I am all-in?!

All I can say is you’d better not be wearing flip flops next time we come over. Pop, pop, CRACK. haha.
