What I am thanking God for, today:
Caleb’s amazed grin over all that candy in his bag.
that Jimmy Neutron cartoons are still funny to the boys (and to me!).
Josiah’s turn at compassion, bringing me kleenex and cough drops and sympathy.
the sound of the wind, a lullaby in the middle of the night.
warmth from Psalm 121 in todays LifeJournal reading. The very first Scripture I ever memorized, and the one I preached loud for the maternity ward, during Caleb’s birth!
the way the cat closes her eyes and lifts her chin so regally, asking to be scratched.
hot airbornne drink to soothe a hurting throat.
lunch and shopping and laughing with Claudia and Tara, for Tara’s birthday. What better combination is there than family, that is also friend?
Found out yesterday that I get to serve in Mexico my favorite way: by working with the local children, doing VBS and loving on them. so, so happy to do this.
leaves like yellow confetti, all over the yard.
sweet 2 yr old Savannah, yelling out her cousins names.
P.S. note for all who wondered what became of Claire, the lost cat!? We haven’t seen her much-we believe she is actually owned by a neighbor, who left her in the care of their renter, when they moved to the East Coast temporarily (Hi, Becky!). When the neighbor saw my post she was concerned for her cat (actually named Stormy) and now the renter must be doing a better job, because we have hardly seen her, since. So the cat is safe (we think/hope!) and Caleb is at peace about it, and John is just happy we own only one cat!
