Multitude Monday 12/6

thankful to God today for…

the shiny new stove was installed (by my loving husband and dear father-in-law) yesterday! Caleb pronounced the dinner tater tots as “perfect-o!”

for Christmas break and sleeping in a bit….

for a church family who celebrates Advent…

for Celtic Christmas music playing in the kitchen…

for e-mails from Josiah, full of exclamation points and smiley faces that show he is enjoying his tropical vacation immensely!

for my favorite movie (Its A Wonderful Life) playing like a Christmas backdrop to our days, and the boys and I turning from activity to be still and watch again, our favorite parts…

for scrapbooks of Christmas past…

that I really do have a Father who always shows up, and never disappoints, and who loves me with sacrificial and extravagant love…

for Applebees and Kohls and Sunday afternoons with Claudia…

for our Homeschool Co-op and all the wonderful families involved in it…

for Salvation Army red buckets and softly jingling bells, faithfully calling out as I go into the store, quietly reminding where to lay up my treasure…

for Mrs. Meyers evergreen candles. (It’s “almost” like a real tree!)

for the morning music of Caleb rummaging through deep bins of Legos, and Sam’s spoon clinking in his cocoa mug and the dryer tumbling slow…

for red shiny balls and rough brown pinecones all nestled in the windowbox…

for peace with God, and peace within, and “as far as it depends on me” peace with others: and all because of the Prince of Peace Himself, Christ…

About sparrowjourney

Christian homeschooling mom to three boys, married to my best friend, John, for over 20 years. I love gardening without gloves, learning history with my kids, cooking with lots of butter, serving others, great books, rich coffee, studying the Bible, camping outdoors, scrapbooking, vintage home decor, the smell of rain and cut grass, authentic people, poetry, laughing until your sides hurt, and babies. oh and black licorice is pretty awesome.

Hey! Don’t mean to sound disappointed, but where in the world are all the AFTER photos? You know, once you transform the living room into a Christmas extravaganza? Let’s see some pics!
