a house full of friends and family, all weekend long.
slippers, lined with cozy fleece and hard bottom soles, for padding out to the mailbox.
watching “The Nativity Story” on the last Sunday before Christmas (get it on Netflix and just ignore the bad reviews, because it’s a wonderful film and the way they portray Joseph, especially, is beautiful.)
I ran 5 miles on Saturday, and at the end? I still did NOT regret registering for the Half Marathon in May. Yay for living fearlessly with no regrets!
well, no regrets except…maybe?…for how many shrimp enchiladas I ate last night! but how fun it was to leave the kitchen and go eat out as a family, with Lee and Claudia and Sherri and all of us laughing and teasing. and amazed at how Sam can now eat a chalupa longer than his arm-then polish of Grandma’s extra rice, after 2 baskets of chips and salsa while waiting and still…beg for dessert, afterwards!
the Kenny G “Miracles” Christmas album. (I’m a 90s girl and still love saxophone music!)
how bright and welcoming the holiday lights are on houses out here in the country, when they are spread miles apart and no street lights compete…this tangible nightly reminder that darkness is the backdrop that sets off every good thing, coming down from The Father of Lights.
Savannah, dancing and singing!
baking soda toothpaste.
